How do I login to track my phone?
Click on the “Log in” menu item above. That will take you directly to the “Track phone” page.
Why is the location of my cell phone so far off?
Cell phone location can be affected by a number of things. If you are indoors and the phone cannot get a signal from the GPS satellites, you will not get a proper location. This can also be affected by tall buildings, trees and cloudy weather. One important thing is to make sure you have GPS turned on. Try putting your phone outside with an unobstructed view of the sky to test it.
Does this work for every phone?
This currently works for all Android cell phones around the world. It works for all models and all cell phone companies. It does not work for other phones such as the iPhone or Blackberry.
Does this always find the phone?
No, it does not. There are many reasons for this. The phone could be indoors and unable to get GPS or cell phone reception. The phone could be turned off. The phone could have been stolen and had it’s SIM card removed. But one thing is certain, using our application does give you a good chance of finding your phone.
How do I subscribe or unsubscribe?
Subscribing and unsubscribing can be done from the Account page. You can get to the Account page from the menu above. There you will find buttons that will allow you to subscribe using Paypal. If you are currently a subscriber and wish to unsubscribe, you will find a button there as well.
How do I turn on GPS on my cell phone?
Open “Settings” on your cell phone. Then click on “Security and location.” Finally check the box next to “Enable GPS satellites.”
My password isn’t working and on the phone it’s not the same length of characters that I put in.
When you click “Save” on your cell phone, the password is encrypted, and that’s why it appears to be a longer password when you open MyCellTracker again. If you forget your password you can reset it. In your browser, click on the Log in menu item above and when you get to the Log in page click on “Lost your Password” (see image below).
An email will then be sent to you asking you if you want to reset your password and providing a link to do that. Click on that link and a new password will be sent to you. Once you have received this new password, login and then go the Account page on the menu above and change your password if you wish to do so. We take security very seriously and is one of our top concerns in providing this service to you.
